The project environment
Get ready
→ Collect all the information on the environment (organisation, interlocutors, etc.)
→ Validate the expectations of the mission
→ Make an inventory of your key skills and any areas of concern
→ Know at what stage of the project your intervention is situated
Reminder of some basics on teamwork
→ A common goal
→ Specific roles
→ Known and shared rules of the game
Introduce a project: 2 phases
Mainly a communication exercise
→ Rigorous preparation and sufficient training
→ Which contacts (technical/business or support departments)
→ What context for the presentation (logistics, equipment, dedicated time, etc.)
→ What is the objective of the presentation
→ Mastering the posture, gestures, flow, tone
→ Anticipate questions and criticisms by putting yourself in the place of the various participants
Phase 1: submit your project
→ Presenting work: facts, more facts, always facts
→ The importance of the choice of media (slides, technical or other documents, etc.)
→ Assuming responsibility for your proposals
→ Identify the attitudes of the participants to anticipate their reactions
→ Choosing the right moment(s) for questions and criticism
Phase 2: let’s discuss
→ Keeping the pace of questions and answers under control
→ Controlling the emotional reaction to very negative criticism:
→ mobilising breathing techniques
→ Argue effectively: a key tool
→ Knowing how to recognise constructive criticism
→ Know how to object to unfounded criticism: learn to say NO assertively
Individual action plan
At the end of the training course, each participant is invited to build a personal action plan based on the tool sheet provided by the trainer.
This work allows each trainee to be an actor in his or her own progress in the following weeks and months.
